Working with public at the NIHR HRC in Diagnostic and Technology Evaluation
Greta Brunskill shares our plans and strategy for building relationships with the public during the next few years.
We are pleased to share our new Patient and Public Involvement & Engagement (PPIE) Strategy which has been co-developed with our Insight Panel for patients, public and carers. This Strategy outlines how we plan to grow and expand the involvement of the public in all that we do at the HRC over the next four years.
Since joining the HRC in September 2024, as a Public Partnerships Manager, it has been great to meet with people from different community networks and organisations to begin conversations about how we could work together. I’m really looking forward to establishing some new relationships that can benefit communities as well as help involve a wider range of the public in the HRC.
I am also proud to share that Kile Green, Senior Methodologist in the team, and myself have become Haref Allies. Haref is a network of organisations supporting ethnically marginalised communities in Newcastle and Gateshead which focuses on health equality. We’re looking forward to building new connections and learning through our link with Haref.
