Plans are underway for the next NIHR Statistics Group Conference which will take place in Sheffield on the 19 and 20 June 2025.

We are excited to share that our senior methodologist, Dr Jana Suklan, is co-chairing the conference for a second consecutive year.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Bringing theory into practice – throughout health and care research”. Confirmed keynote speakers are:

• Sylwia Bujkiewicz, Professor of Biostatistics, University of Leicester
• Nick Jakubovics, Professor of Oral Microbiology, Newcastle University
• Rebecca Walwyn, Associate Professor of Clinical Trials Methodology, University of Leeds

The conference will also include breakout sessions, poster presentations and three minute rapid-fire talks.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting, but it will be of special relevance to statisticians, data scientists and those with an active interest in statistics and data science.
